Finding ways to keep a positive attitude can be a tremendous stress reliever for many women who are going through ovarian cancer treatment. Even something as small as cleaning up some clutter can give you a sense of control and helps you stay positive. Each person has their own way of focusing on the positive, such as listening to music, watching programs that have an uplifting message, or connecting with people who help lift your spirits.
Laughter can be the best medicine on days where you feel like you are getting nowhere in your treatment. Just because you have cancer, it doesn't mean you need to constantly be in "battle mode." Spending time with your family, such as having a game night or a movie night, can help bring you all closer together. They are walking this road with you, but it doesn't mean it always has to be full of fear, worry, and sadness. Spending time laughing and doing activities with your family can help reduce stress and get your mind off your illness for a while.

Helping others deal with their obstacles in life will not only be encouraging for them, but can also help give you strength and support.
